Philip,
Which Hauppauge device are you referring to? Is it the WinTV PVR USB
II? ( www.hauppauge.com/Pages/products/data_pvrusb2.html www.hauppauge.com/Pages/products/data_pvrusb2.html )

People,
Should this USB device be able to be programmed eg with v4lctl?
ie If I use:
v4lctl -v 1 setnorm PAL setinput "S-Video Input"
- should this setup should be remembered by the device and work with
xawtv, streamer and ffmpeg etc? (it doesnt). Similarly if I get a
working .xawtv file going with a TV channel I can watch the channel
with xawtv but cant record with streamer or ffmpeg.
Thanks,
Grab a copy of CVS. The issues with unloading the module with modprobe
and rmmod is fixed.
Also, the white lines with the decompression algorithm has been resolved
by Joerg. The video
output is better than the Windows driver now.
