| title: | Re SCSI Card Recomendations |

My alpha has an on-board symbios sym53c875 scsi controller. I have
four harddrives in there, 3 of which I have in a raid5 partition. It
works fantastically well. Recently I did a test of contiuous parallel
builds of 2.2, 2.3 and mozilla. For a week load avg was constantly
between 25 and 110, and all the disks were whirring, but I had no
problems at all.

Looking for a new SCSI card for my 164sx 533MHz system
currently running 2 adaptecs with multiple hard drives on them... (from
which Ive heard and seen is a bad thing on alpha linux)
any ideas for good SCSI cards that dont time out under high load? and that
may alos be compatible with Digital UNIX?
thanks
